The Tabernacle (15th.-19th. Century versions)

There are two places where God gives the ancient Israelites instructions as to how to build a building. One is the tabernacle given to Moses on Sinai; the other is the Temple in Jerusalem. The tabernacle was the temporary structure in which, we are told, God resided during the travels of the Israelites until He found a more permanent structure in the Temple.
