Mortier - 1700 (New Testament)
These prints are from the famous Mortier "Great Bible." The images are by the most important illustrators of the day including Jan Luyken (1649-1712), and Ottomar Elliger (1666-1732). They were copied in many later editions in various languages, but none of the later editions were as sumptuous. Each page of thin, handmade paper, had two engravings. The whole book was reproduced in 1968. Titles are in Dutch and French.
